Like the modal popup, the Full Screen Takeover (FST) displays on top of page content. It is an edge-to-edge overlay, covering the entire page, header included.
FST overlays are used sparingly, as they obscure site navigation. They're used in instances where immersive content or actions must be accessed without navigating away from the current page or task.
Once opened, the user can't interact with other elements on the page. The modal will remain on screen until dismissed, or a required action has been taken.

Always include a back link so that users can quickly and easily exit the modal — remember, the global navigation is not accessible.
Back link text should be descriptive and succinct, and it should always link back to the page or task that prompted the FST.
Before deploying an FST, we encourage you to review the modality documentation.
