Everyone—including the designer, the user, and the business—shares the goal of achieving a successful form submission. Forms account for a significant part of the Driveway experience, and it's important that they be deployed in a way that supports the user in achieving their needs.

Input fields vary and many may have unique implementation guidelines. With that in mind, Driveway designers should strive to design form interactions that guide the user toward a successful outcome.

A successful form:

• Helps the user avoid errors
• Includes informative labels and helper text
• Shows which fields are required vs. optional
• Uses fields suited for their expected input
• Does not alter input/data without the user's knowledge or consent
